The 4th annual WealthTech100 reveals the most innovative names in the sector

The fourth annual WealthTech100 list has been revealed by FinTech Global, highlighting the most innovative companies in an exploding sector.

This new list highlights the 100 most innovative technology solution providers that are tackling digital transformation challenges and opportunities faced by investment firms, private banks and financial advisors.

A panel of analysts and industry experts voted from a list of. Over 1,200 businesses. Winners were selected for their innovative use of technology to solve a significant industry problem, or to generate efficiency improvements across the investment value chain.

The WealthTech sector has seen strong growth over the past couple of years, with Covid-19 helping accelerate the need for digital innovation. On its current trajectory, the global WealthTech market is projected to reach $11.9bn by 2030.

Global funding reached $20.9bn through 466 in the first three quarters of 2021. This was more than double the total funding of 2021 – $9.2bn across 434 deals. Since 2017, over $41.8bn has been raised through 1,883 deals.

FinTech Global director Richard Sachar said, “The rise of digital distribution channels and online financial products has opened new client segments for investment firms and financial advisors. As a result, businesses that fail to keep up with the latest technologies and innovation will be less competitive and lose market share over time.

“The WealthTech100 list helps senior decision-makers in the industry filter through all the vendors in the market by highlighting the leading companies in areas such as client acquisition, financial planning, portfolio management and digital brokerage.”

Many of the companies to feature in this year’s WealthTech100 companies have been in recent headlines.

One of these is CAIS, which stylises itself as the first truly open marketplace for alternative investments, where financial advisors and asset managers can engage and transact directly on a massive scale.  CAIS joined the unicorn club in January 2022, after it closed a $225m funding round that was led by private equity firms Apollo and Motive Partners.

Another company to recently be in the news was Nice Actimize, which launched a new suite of compliance tools. The solution gives a single risk score so financial institutions can better understand clients. Nice Actimize is a provider of financial crime, risk, and compliance solutions.

Refinitiv recently teamed up with RegTech company PassFort to create a digital KYC solution for challenger firms. The WealthTech company provides wealth firms with world-leading content and intuitive workflows that deepen client engagement and optimize business performance.

Another WealthTech100 company is Flanks. The wealth management SaaS solution automatically aggregates the position and operation of clients into reporting tools. It recently closed €2.3m in a funding round backed by JME Ventures and SeedRocket 4Founders Capital.

One of the companies in this year’s list is Doxim. The communications technology platform provides personalised, omnichannel document solutions and transforming experiences to strengthen engagement across the lifecycle in financial and regulated markets.

Another WealthTech100 company is InvestCloud. The company specialises in building first-class, digital platforms that enable the development of financial solutions.

InvestSuite, another WealthTech100, helps financial institutions realise their digital wealth transformation journey, democratise wealth management and create improved investing experiences.

PureFacts, which develops software so financial services an increase revenue, was among the listed, as was Sentifi, which detects investment signals from tweets, news, forums and blogs.

Some of those listed in the new list are, digitalisation solution developer Openfinance, BME’s Fintech, goal-based planning and monitoring of clients’ goals service Ortec Finance, wealth management solution provider PSplus, financial asset mapping service QPLIX, customised investment solution platform Tindeco, services personalisation solution TelosTouch and investing technology platform Velexa.

Other companies in this year’s WealthTech100 include digital transformation plug & play solution AIFMetrics, digital advisory firm FamilyWealth, digital communication mapping service FinaSoft, alternative investment solution Growthinvest, back-office technology developer for wealth managers GBST, automation service for advice and investment industries Docupace, wealth management reporting software Hexaview, holistic advice platform to improve client understanding PaxFamilia and Ledgex, a FinTech platform aimed at family offices.

Finally, WealthObjects, which helps firms launch fully automated or hybrid digital business models in investing and savings, was among the companies in the new list.
