HUB launches dedicated digital platform

Hub International Limited (HUB), a global insurance brokerage and financial services firm, has launched VIU, a digital platform for transactional personal insurance needs.

VIU by HUB aims to close the insurance protection gap by making it easier for consumers to purchase needed coverage with the benefits of choice, efficiency, price transparency and trusted brokerage advice. HUB said the launch is a major step toward simplifying the insurance buying process and elevating the digital consumer experience.

The launch follows HUB’s acquisition of Insureon Holdings, a digital platform focused on the commercial space, with InsurTech Bold Penguin.

HUB said VIU offers advisory capabilities that provide a customised and personalised approach, which allows consumers to have full clarity and control over coverage. Specifically, the platform allows customers to engage with HUB how and when they want in an omni-channel experience, giving them peace of mind with the right protection at the best value. It also provides fast quoting that minimises the need for manual research, as well as transparent options and relevant coverage details, and educates consumers on shifting or emerging risks.
