Obie, an InsurTech startup that offers insurance risk management for real estate investors, has partnered with digital lending marketplace LoanBase.

Obie said the partnership will streamline insurance for lenders, borrowers and brokers.

The company said that cumbersome processes have long plagued real estate investors. From securing funding for new properties to providing the right insurance to close new deals.

With its digital lending marketplace offering, Loanbase provides real estate investors with the financing they need to grow their portfolios. Borrows get instant access to thousands of vetted lenders and multiple real-time quotes.

Obie is looking to modernise the antiquate process of insuring rental properties for real estate investors. The company said that with its collaboration with LoanBase, real estate investors can more seamlessly secure financing and insurance.

Obie’s technology enables borrowers and lenders the ability to secure insurance without leaving the LoanBase environment, meaning investors will have proof of insurance faster to secure capital.

The InsurTech said the increase in transparency that comes with this, will help both Obie and LoanBase to reduce unnecessary back and forth and delivery a far superior customer experience to investors.

Ryan Letzseiser, Obie CEO, said, “At the core of what we want to do is provide real estate investors the comfort of knowing their investment is protected. Partnering with LoanBase, who shares similar values, investors will face less friction and hassle in securing both financing and insurance.”

Ari Shpanya, CEO and co-founder of LoanBase, added, “LoanBase and Obie, together, empower real estate investors to find the right financing and insurance for their needs, while providing them with a seamless experience throughout the borrower journey.”

Obie recently partnered with real estate FinTech Backflip to increase transparency for real estate investors. It also teamed up with holiday rental investment marketplace Here earlier this year to further simplifying the insurance process for landlords and real estate investors.
