A wave of venture capital investors have backed a $110m financing round for MPOWER Financing, a student loan provider for international students applying to US institutions.

Student loan provider Meritize has collected $13.2m in its Series A which was led by Colchis Capital.

Texas-based student financing platform Meritize has netted $6.8m in its Seed funding round.

MPOWER Financing has raised $6m in a Series A round led by private equity firm Zephyr Peacock India. The Washington DC and Bangalore-based company aims to help finance international students.
